Same! (Also I admit that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I love it for not requiring any gifts or particular decorating, and being focused on family and food. But after reading this I realized I should probably do more to acknowledge its beginnings and myths. I was living in Europe when I cooked my first turkey as a married adult, so had an easy time shedding everything except the family and food part.)
