Thank you for sacrificing your browser for us! 👍🏾 I look forward to the blog post where you rate whatever batty ads the algorithm starts serving up to you. What a long year this is going to be ...

I never thought about that! But yes, now that I'm about to see all their ads, it's just fuel for more essays!

Great post Garrett. I laughed out loud, and I loved this...”But as we do so, let’s not forget that all of this is ridiculous, that what should be one of the most beautiful ways that we express our love for one another has always been sullied by layers of cynical, money-making gunk. Let’s remember that none of these candidates actually care about you and your communities. On one hand, that’s terrible news, but it’s also the best news. It means that the art of care lives with and between one another. “

Had to sneak that last part in there! And thank you!

Sometimes I think you are a poet in disguise ... the way you lay your emotions out like that. It’s ok. Come home. We will welcome you. 😉

Whoa I've never considered that maybe I was a secret poet all this time?

You should look into something called the "lyric essay" - I actually think a lot of what you write fits that ... it has a rhythm to it -

Excellent post. Thanks for doing all of this ridiculous but hilarious research so that we didn’t have to.

Also, every single time I get the “post too long for email” message, I prove it wrong. It always all fits. Not sure what that’s about, but it sure doesn’t help with my longwindedness 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

I absolutely love that you call that "post too long for email" messages' bluff! I'm always so scared of it!

Ha! I always send myself a test email of my posts, so that’s how I always know that they are lying when they say it’s too long for email. The bots are trying to silence us and I won’t stand for it! 😆

Amy, how do you send this test email? I am learning so much more today than just the ridiculous things people put on shirts?

ha ha! win win!

When you are done (or think you're done) with your post, click on the Preview button on the top right of the post. It will give a mock up of a cell phone screen so you can see how it reads on the app. But then in the top right again, there's a button that says Test, and that's where you can send yourself a test email.

Oh man I am so glad I finally have a way to cheat on the "how many genders are there, and what energy source is most important for human flourishing" quiz

The font is a little small, so in case others can't read, I'm pretty sure the correct answers are "exactly 47" and "the bass line from Donna Summer's seminal 1977 hit 'I Feel Love.'"

As usual I’m so confused by Ron Desantis. Are the cartels trying to cross the border? According to historical sources like “Blow” and “American Made,” they find duchey white American dudes to pay a lot of money to bring their drugs here ... and the CIA fully supports this - wait is he referencing the CIA? 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤡😂

Noted proponent of defunding the CIA Ron DeSantis!!!

Garrett, I saved this to read at the end of the workday because I knew it would be a special treat. I love finding out about awful campaign merch, and the only upside is that at least today we have print on demand so the DeSantis campaign doesn't need to order 1,000 of those horrible t-shirts, 998 of which would eventually wind up in landfills. I personally would LOVE a subscriber-only issue with more merch. (Incidentally, the only campaign item I have ever purchased is an Elizabeth Warren magnet, which I kept on my fridge long after Biden had already won the primary.)

I’m glad you share my unexplainable delight in this particular election subtopic. That’s a great point too that print on demand means that hopefully there isn’t as much waste from these awful designs as there previously would have been!

These were great. We definitely need thoughtful roasting of these right-wing grifters.

You may have answered this already but will there be an audio version for your book?
